What do you enjoy the most about being in the HIM field?

I love that there is a variety of jobs that you can do in the HIM field. There are so many different opportunities in the HIM field which can attract many people with different interests and skill sets.

When you were a teenager, what type of musical band did you dream about being in?

I don’t think I did. I never played a musical instrument, and while I was in chorus in school for a few years, I didn’t have a desire to be out in front. I consider myself to be an introvert, so being in a band would be a real stretch for me.  I do love to listen to music and sing in my car (probably off key) while I drive back and forth to work, but that is the extent of my “musical career.” LOL!

What is the best place you have ever visited?

I love being near the water. My husband and I rented a cabin on Embden Pond (basically a lake) in Embden, Maine, about 4 years ago. It was wonderful being able to sit by the water all day, kayaking in the early morning when the lake was peaceful, and swimming during the warm hours of the day.

What do you do with your free time (if you have any!)?

I don’t have a lot of free time, but I love to read and I am a card maker. I make all my own birthday cards, anniversary cards, etc. Paper crafting, stamping, and creating can be a stress reliever for me. 😊 I also love to cook and bake, always trying new recipes. My husband and I have been kayaking for that last 3-4 years and enjoy spending relaxing time on the water.

How would your best friend describe you?

I honestly don’t know! I will have to ask her sometime. 😊 Honestly, we met when I was doing my practicum at a hospital over 30 years ago. Work wise, she would probably say I am dedicated to teaching and my students. Personal wise, she probably says I am someone who can be reserved until I get to know the person.
